Sharing Wisdom

The word Sapientia means Wisdom in Latin and represents our school’s fundamental educational objective. Education is not about an expansive accumulation of facts. True education is for life. It consists in putting worthy knowledge into practice and applying it towards the achievement of our highest potential and the betterment of the environments surrounding us. Only then, can it be called wisdom.

Our schools adhere to the authentic principles of the Montessori Method or Philosophy, founded by three-time Nobel Prize nominee, Dr. Maria Montessori. The Montessori Method recognizes that every child contains the innate skills, abilities, and qualities to achieve his or her highest potential; to be independent and grow his or her physical, intellectual, emotional and innate faculties to their fullest expression. In Montessori, children learn according to their specific ability and needs, through individually tailored lessons and the use of specialized materials. Further, multiage classroom environments provide children opportunities to learn from each other, while strengthening social skills.

Sapientia Montessori is recognized in and implements the world-renowned Sathya Sai Education in Human Values program (or SSEHV), a unique character-development program which complements our schools’ whole-child development philosophy.
